THROCKMORTON – Chico’s Dragons roasted Throckmorton
51-6 Friday night, handing the Greyhounds their first District 13-A defeat
of the season. Throckmorton fell to 6-2 overall with the loss, matching
the win-loss record for Chico. Chico’s Zach Dalrymple scored on runs of
15 and 5 yards to give the Dragons an early 15-0 lead before the Greyhounds
got on the board on Alex Contreras’ 34-yard run late in the first quarter.
But the Dragons clamped down on the Greyhound offense the rest of the game,
holding Throckmorton to 201 yards of total offense on 57 plays. Dalrymple
had five touchdowns in the game for the Dragons, who rolled up 461 yards
