BOYD – Boyd quarterback Garrett Tidwell had 233 total yards from scrimmage, leading Boyd (4-1) at Yellow Jacket Stadium.
Tidwell had 138 yards rushing and scored three touchdowns. Tidwell scored on runs of 2 and 31 yards on Boyd's first two second-half possessions, giving Boyd a 28-7 lead.
Trailing 21-7 in the third quarter, Fort Worth Christian (2-3) drove to the Boyd 3-yard line. The drive was stopped when Boyd defensive end Brad Young sacked Fort Worth Christian quarterback Heath Cunningham on a fourth and three from the Boyd four. Young had three sacks in the game.
Boyd tailback Zach Selby added 94-yards rushing, including a touchdown. Fort Worth Christian tailback Chase Cawyer, the area leader for rushing among private school players, rushed for 102 yards.
