The Story The mayor of Decatur hints that Chili's restaurant is looking at the old Grandy's site.  (Past rumors suggested that Chili's would never build in an alcohol free jurisdiction).
News worthiness  (on a scale of 0 to 5) **
The Spin If indeed it happens, a condition of any building permit should require the nation wide abolition of the "baby back ribs" song.

The Story Highway 380 will be repaved between Bridgeport and Decatur. Officials indicated the highway will be reduced to one lane increments of 3/4 to 1 mile at a time.

The Spin Translation: Prepare to sit for ten minutes while a guy in front of you holds a "stop" sign and a processional of cars, led by a yellow truck, heads the other way. 

The Story The Bridgeport Index runs a front page headline asking "Is Runaway Bay a Speed Trap?"

The Story The Boyd City Council becomes a bit uncomfortable at the number of times Rhome Police department cars have been seen within the city.

The Story The Decatur EDC announced that Bridgeport High School will hold its Senior Prom in the new Decatur Civic Center.

The Story Residents of Rhome Meadows filed a petition for disannexation with the New Fairview City Council.
