The Story A settlement is reached between Debbie Kraft, who was paralyzed in a vehicle "roll over case", and Ford Motor Company moments before the lawsuit was called to trial in district court in Wise County. The settlement, however, is "sealed" and not made public.

The Story UIL realignment is announced. Alvord moves up to 2A while Bridgeport and Decatur remain in the same district.

The Story Deliberate dumping of some 5,000 gallons of oil behind Allsups in Decatur results in a costly clean up.

The Spin "It appears that probably tanker trucks backed up to the back edge of the parking lot behind the building and were letting their loads go," said Jim Kerlin of the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Committee.

The Story "The North Texas Singles Club will meet Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at the Sand Trap Restaurant, located in the Nocona Hills Country Club. The meal is an all-you-can-eat buffet. A dance with a live band will follow the meal."
