The Story Eric Evans, 25, on Newark is detained on a traffic stop and allegedly found to have 75 grams of methamphetamine in the car. His bond was set at $750,000.

The Spin "$750,000 might seem like a high bond," said one ficticious law enforcement officer. "But a ridiculous amount makes the crime sound even more serious than what it actually is.  "

The Story Firefighters spent more than 30 minutes rescuing a 20 year old horse that tends to "fall down." The horse, named Mac (not Barbaro), was given to its owner last year as a gift.

The Story Decatur High School starts district play in soccer. The girls team loses the opener 12-0 to Wichita Falls Rider.

The Spin I think the girls team is bad. Very bad. But its hard to find out much information about them because the publication of their performance is guarded far more tenously than their goal.

The Story The director of transportation for Decatur ISD is finally placed on administrative leave after his arrest last week on Indecency with a Child charges.
