For the week ending 3/4/05:

The Story "Devon", a new drug dog, is introduced by the Wise County Sheriff's office.
News worthiness (on a scale of 0 to 5) *
The Spin The dog immediately went into a rant about low pay and lack of respect for law enforcement canines.  "Let's  just say my sniffer might go on the blink unless the commissioners take some action - and fast."

The Story Vandals strike a couple of local churches using graffiti including "666", "Smoke Speed" and "Lost Boys".

The Spin We understand the time honored shock value symbols of the sign of the devil and dope, but what does a bad 1987 movie have to do with anything?

The Story Three candidates announce they will run for offices in the City of Paradise with intentions of abandoning the city government if elected.

The Spin This is worth a laugh but we're not sure they won't be successful.

The Story A complaint concerning Title IX has been filed against the Decatur ISD which "probably relates to someone saying that the boys and girls programs are not receiving funding of equal opportunity."

The Spin Come on, we all know that schools spend as much on girls' volleyball as they do on varsity football.

The Story It is reported that radio station KBOC has been sold to "Z-Spanish Radio Network".

The Spin And the new show "Amigo to Amigo" will debut for morning drive time. 

The Story "RABBIT DEADLINE – Rabbit tattoo and validation for the Wise County Youth Fair will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Rabbit Barn at the Posse Grounds in Decatur."

The Spin Most of the rabbits prefer the barbed-wire look around the arm.

The Story A fire at Decatur High School is limited to one office. Damage was estimated at $300,000.
