The Story The county prepares to spend $6 to $10 million for a jail expansion.

The Spin Wouldn't it be interesting to know how many are prisoners due to the War on Drugs? How many are awaiting trial because they can't afford bond? How many are awaiting transfer to TDC? Just curious.

The Story The FBI flexes its federal muscles by investigating Home Hospice of North Texas in Decatur. "[W]itnesses . . . reported seeing people in bullet-proof vest loading computer hard drives into a truck."

The Story State Senator Greg Estes introduces a bill to make it easier to buy a mobile home.

The Spin Mitch was always frustrating because he would never make a comment that was "spin-worthy" despite producing thousands of line of print. Please let his replacement be a shock jock.

The Story Devon Energy announces that the Barnett Shale is its largest producing gas field in Wise County.
