The Story  Projections are that Northwest ISD will need to add 17 elementary schools in the next 10 years. At 234 square miles, it is the second largest geographical ISD in the metroplex.
News worthiness ***
The Spin Shouldn't the district become a sports powerhouse in 20 years with that many kids to chose from? (Sorry, we have to keep our priorities straight).

The Story The most interesting story appeared in a letter to the editor by Joe Mitchell where he described a "melee" at a Bridgeport youth baseball field when someone appeared wearing a T-shirt "advocating the assault and batter of homosexuals.".

The Spin And, boy, did he pull out the thesaurus with the following words being  used in the letter: sartorially, judicious, inquisition, purveyor, conjecture, dehumanizing, tyrannical, tenets, pernicious, and imbroglio.

The Story The mayor of Decatur "seeks public opinion" on what to do with the old post office that was purchased four years ago but which will take tens of thousands of dollars in renovation costs in order to be used.

The public responded with: "Remember the EMS building! Remember the EMS building!"

The Story A rapid puppy bit a guy in his 20s as well as a 17 year old and collaterally infected a 3 year old that came in contact with the dog's saliva. The owner of the put bull said it was "acting funny."

The Story There's been a weird exchange of Letters to the Editor from Sharon Wilson of Decatur (who takes liberal positions) and others (who say over and over again that Ms. Wilson needs to get her facts straight).

The Spin Two words: Tired Head. Couldn't you guys just pick up the phone and argue? It was save us all a lot of time and would be more efficient.
