The Story Thirteen year old Luis Gonzales dies 12 days after a pool accident in Bridgeport.
News worthiness (on a scale of 0 to 5) ****
The Spin What an absolute tragic accident - and one that will change the way that everyone looks at the Bridgeport City Pool for the next 20 years.

The Story New property appraisals are released. The property in the Slidell ISD jumps in value by a whopping 173% while the City of Paradise sees a decrease in value by 1%.

The Spin The convenience store in Paradise that burned to the ground last year must have been really important to property values in the city.

The Story Very odd: Rev. Gil Pansza , pastor of St. John's Catholic Church in Bridgeport and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Decatur,  is barred from the Bridgeport Prison because "We have had some information that there is a possibility of the Catholics kid on siding up with Father Gil and causing some security problems."

The Spin "The way things were going, we felt that the Catholics could really put a whooping on the Baptists in a prison riot and that is simply unacceptable," said one fictitious prison official.

The Story Wise County has an increase of 27% of major crimes - the fourth time in five years that crime has increased.

The Story Former Wise County resident and Saginaw Police Officer Winston Dennis responds to a suicide call after drinking two beers at a bar in Fort Worth. He walks into his supervisor's office the next day and requests a demotion that reduces his salary by $11,000 a year.

The Spin There was no allegation that he was drunk or did anything innappropriate at the scene. Society need to lighten up a bit and cut some slack to the normal good guys of the world.
