The Story Gov. Perry makes a campaign stop in Decatur and touts his vision for a 10 lane highway between the Metroplex and San Antonio.

The Spin That had been such a big concern of ours. Now, about school funding?

The Story Apollo, the computer company that supports the software linking many of the county's departments, declares bankruptcy.
News worthiness **
The Spin There has been no bigger fiasco and waste of taxpayer dollars than the current computer network/system used by county government.  Get prepared for a huge cash outlay to remedy a ridiculous situation.

The Story It's budget time for the county, and the the county attorney and county judge want raises to increase their salary to $110,000.

The Story The Justin Whistler closes down leaving only the Justin Journal to serve the town.

The Story A closed door meeting is scheduled for next week by the Rhome City Council to discuss the police department. According to the Update, there are some rumors concerning the disbanding of the department.
