This Week's Overall Newsiness Rating: A Better Than Average

The Story The animal control officer for Decatur is arrested after 271 allegedly neglected dogs are seized from her home.
News worthiness ****
The Spin Cat discrimination is at an all time high.

The Story Debra Warren, 37, is arrested after allegedly stealing $190,000 from a resident to Governor's Ridge nursing home.
News worthiness ***
The Spin More importantly, we learned that Decatur Police Chief Rex Hoskins has a shot of Stonehenge as his computer wallpaper. Does he know the answers to the secrets of history?

The Story An 8 year old girl is killed in an accident on 380 as she and her mother deliver lunch to the girl's father as he worked on construction on the highway.
News worthiness ***
The Spin I found that story to be incredibly sad.

The Story "Barry", the dog of a Vietnam vet whose care broke down in Rhome, is adopted by a city staff member.
News worthiness **
The Spin I was more concerned about the Vet who had driven from Michigan to Dallas to get into a VA hospital but was denied admission. He had to turn around and go home. His car, which did not have air conditioning, broke down and could not be repaired. Anonymous donations raised $100 so he could obtain a bus ticket back to Michigan.  And the dog is the lead story.

The Story "Sex offender commits suicide"
News worthiness **
The Spin That's a headline you can just stare at for a while.
