The Story The Wise County Reunion fires up again complete with local coverage involving stories, photos, and the general "ain't it great" fanfare.

The Story Oncor allows residents to view the proposed route of a 50 mile transmission line that will run from Jack to Denton County.  "The four hour come-and-go meeting Tuesday was intended to give people living in the area a chance to give their opinions on the proposed route."

The Story Aurora enacts a local ad valoreum tax in order to help the city budget.

The Story The all Republican commissioners court gets a bit dicey. "Don't raise your voice at me," commissioner Mikel Richardson told commissioner Kyle Stephens. "You'll get into a situation you don't like."

The Story It's hot as blazes so that means it is football prediction time. Messenger reporter Robert Morgan writes that Decatur can expect a "perfect 10-0" season "thanks to a weak non-district schedule." (Thursday edition, page B1)
