The Story The Decatur School Board lowers its tax rate from $1.6544 to $1.6167.

The Spin For a $100,000 home, that's a savings of just over $7.00.  And assuming your property value did not rise, you get to spend it wherever you want. 

The Story The local Democrats try to mount a comeback by having a big chicken fried steak dinner at K-Bobs. The "only" criticism the party chairperson had about the Republicans "is the sad state of the economy."
