News worthiness  (on a scale of 0 to 5) ***
The Spin Cops sure have been making a lot of headlines lately, haven't they?  The days of Adam-12 seem like a long time ago.

The Story Democratic County Clerk Sherry Parker lists a campaign contribution of $150 from Republican Party Chairman D.A. Sharpe. He said it was not a political contribution but "personal recognition of Parker's unpaid service . . . . Parker is not paid for her work on election nights."
 News worthiness **
The Spin (1) Man, those Republicans do have a lot of money. (2) If you want to give money to the under paid public officials, it would be far more entertaining if you would rob the elected officials that are over paid.

The Story The Messenger runs a front page article on Lita Kirby who, for some reason, has a couple of "snow monkeys" as pets.  "I can't leave for more than a couple hours to go to town shopping because they have to be diapered and have a bottle." Also, "Kirby said . . . [most] monkeys will continue to wear diapers for their entire 40 year life expectancy."

The Spin Come again?

The Story Renee Walker abruptly resigns as executive director of the Decatur Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber said "conflicts had arisen between Ms. Walker and the board of directors . . . ."
News worthiness **
The Spin Huh? It's a Chamber of Commerce for gosh sake. What happened? The Board of Directors wanted to personally invade Iraq?

The Story In yet another cover story, the Messenger features the allegedly popular "People to People" radio show heard on KBOC.

The Spin That reminds us, we are looking for a back window to replace a broken one in our pickup bed cover for a 1975 long bed GMC - blue in color if you got it.
