For the week ending 12/4/04:

The Story The Messenger runs a big spread on former Boyd resident Greg "The Hammer" Williams who is part of sports radio KTCK's team "The Hardline".
News worthiness (on a scale of 0 to 5) **
The Spin Although most of the county will go "who?", the Ticket faithful (otherwise known as the "P1") will smile ear to ear when they pick up the paper. Although you have wonder how a guy becomes famous for such "drops" as "unbelievable" and "alllllriggggggt!!"

The Story An arson suspect gets 10 years in prison, Kemp's Wrecker building burns to the ground, a Newark mobile home is destroyed by fire,  and only a couple of weeks ago the only Paradise convenience store burned as well.

The Spin And I was always told you would wet your pants if you messed around with fire.

The Story The Wise County Sheriff's Office begins to raise funds for crime prevention by selling T-Shirts that read "In God we trust, all others are suspects."

The Spin It's a good thing the ACLU doesn't have a Wise County chapter.

The Story Decatur fans receive some criticism from a sports writer for the Messenger and a Letter to the Editor for "booing"  the Eagles during an upset loss to Abilene Wylie.
