The Story The Ice Man Cometh causing the the roof on the IGA in Boyd ("the town's only grocery store") to collapse.
News worthiness (on a scale of 0 to 5) ****
The Spin Walmart immediately tries to capitalize on the tragedy with ads reading: "Our prices are falling faster than an IGA roof."

The Story Charles Anthony Haley, 29, of Boyd is charged with attempted capital murder after allegedly firing a "large caliber weapon" in the direction of a Wise County Sheriff's deputy. Bond was set at over $200,000.

The Story Decatur ISD announces that its bank account now holds over $2 million - "up almost $1 million since last year".  The school superintendent "expected [the increase] to take almost five years."

The Story Local officials search for a group of rabid puppies that are believed to be in the county. "Rabies is most often transmitted by bites, but transmission can also occur in other ways that allow saliva from an infected animal to enter a person's body," said Monty Fitzgerald.
