The Story Early in the week, chaos runs amok in Rhome as city councilman Brandon Davis wants the authority to investigate police officers. A meeting between him, the mayor, and the police chief resulted in some "cussing."

The Story Later in the week, the Rhome Police Chief resigns. Davis referred to the ex-chief as the "least qualified" of the 75 applicants when he was last hired (and Davis, coincidentally, was one of the applicants.)

The Story The Messenger calls for universal health care in its "Our Views" section.

The Spin What? First a positive article on Wiccans and now support for government funded health care? Bubba will not be pleased. 

The Story Decatur ISD considers a $25 million bond package including an indoor practice facility.

The Spin Limousine service for players to and from the practice facility was finally eliminated after being considered "excessive".

The Story A 21 year old Colorado Springs girl runs about 120 going into downtown Decatur, goes airborne and then is  apprehended by DPS.

The Spin "My mistake," the young lady said afterwards. "I seen that Dukes of Hazzard movie and thought it was OK to drive like that in the Deep South. What? This ain't the Deep South? Man, this is a bad day."
