The Story Chico fifth grade teacher Jennifer Moss is killed in a freak accident on Highway 101 when a portion of a drive shaft of a vehicle going the other way falls off and strikes her vehicle.

The Spin Another eye opener that reminds us to cherish every day.

The Story The Alvord Pantry grocery store has been broken into three times since 11/3/04.

The Spin We were going to ask if there is anything in the Alvord Pantry worth taking until we read that more than $9,000 in cash was taken from the store safe on December  27th.  (Note to owner: make a deposit every now and then).

The Story The City of Decatur held eight meetings to discuss the a master plan for the park system. The largest crowd gathered at the Wise County Heritage Museum and the number of attendees was (drumroll, please): eight people. (And we are not making this up).

The Spin The City momentarily locked up every park in retaliation for citizen apathy but eventually thought the better of it.

The Story Steven Silletti of Bridgeport was injured in an alleged assault that involved a very unique weapon.
