For the week ending 2/12/05:

The Story Yet another problem develops with the EMS building in Decatur when officials discover there is no insulation in the ceiling. .
News worthiness (on a scale of 0 to 5) **
The Spin Can the building just simply collapse into a big sink hole and put us out of this misery?

The Story Raymond Brown, 42, was arrested for the Wells Fargo bank robbery in Rhome after he was seen wearing clothes similar that used in the robbery, including an "FBI" cap.
News worthiness ***
The Spin "What? It's a federal crime to rob a bank? And FBI stands for Federal Bureau of Investigation? So wearing the cap was a bad thing?"

The Story Preston Lowery continues to challenge the Paradise City Council and made a $100 bet with an audience member that all three candidate seats up for reelection will be filled with individuals who wish to disband the city.

The Spin The council immediately challenged him to a "Loser Leaves Town No Questions Asked - Texas Hold 'Em" tournament. 

The Story The Messenger criticizes The Boyd School Board for approving $4,000 to buy state football championship rings for administrators, coaches, and trainers.  (The players are not allowed by UIL rules to receive similar rings if the school pays for them.)
News worthiness **
The Spin The school issued a statement that simply read "We're just trying to relate to kids by sporting some bling-bling. You know what we're saying?"

The Story Grace Fellowship Baptist Church, which rents space from Bridgeport ISD, announced that it had purchased 11 acres of land for $132,000. The school was in the process of reviewing its policy regarding use of school facilities by outside organizations.

The Spin  The church relied upon a little know Bible verse of "Thou shalt not smite a church in executive session or thou church will throw thy big bucks at any problem and make it goeth away."
