The Spin And we thought H.D. Boswell was just blowing smoke. And the board members contend he was.

The Story The fine of the school board members brought out a couple of Letters to the Editor.  Jimmy Miller Sr. called them "arrogant clowns" while Steve Misner referred to them as "left-wing liberals".

The Story The Decatur School Board (who really grabbed headlines this week) agreed to a tax hike which will cost the "average" homeowner $207 more next year.
News worthiness ***
The Spin That sound you hear is H.D. Boswell reloading.

The Story A nurse found dead at the Wise Regional Health System's east campus earlier this year was ruled an accidental overdose from "the toxic effects of amphetamine". She had a prescription for the drug.

The Story "Repairs to the tune of more that $78,500 are finally being made to the Wise County Heritage Museum in Decatur after 30 years of fund raising by the Heritage Society."

The Spin In 1974 the campaign was kicked off with the slogan: "Let's raise  $218 per month for the next 30 years!"
