The Story Bridgeport approves an $18 million bond package while Decatur voters face the same issue next weekend.

The Spin Although it was probably in poor taste for the town's population to point towards Decatur and yell : "We've got spirit, yes we do, we got spirit, what about you?"

The Story Two juvenile girls go missing, possibly as runaways, while the father of one chooses not to alert authorities due to an outstanding hot check warrant he had.

The Story A traffic stop nets 13 illegal immigrants including two hidden behind the seat of the truck cab.

The Story Stephanie Mitchell, an African-American, basks in the glow of being named Decatur's Homecoming Queen last week.

The Spin In a related story, conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh resigned his gig with the Kyle Story Coach's Radio Show after he said the Wise County Messenger "has been very desirous that a black Decatur Homecoming contestant do well."

The Story
The Decatur airport manager and an airport board member have words in what would otherwise be a boring meeting. "It is your [the airport manager's] job to go out and meet visitors and promote Decatur," the board member said. He added that it was not the Manager's  job to "play video games and watch television."

The Story
The local  Democrats bash Republicans at a barbecue in Greenwood. Representative Lon Burnam of Fort Worth noted that "Republicans have totally taken over the Texas Government" for the first time since Reconstruction.
