The Spin Billy Joe Tolliver cracks open a bottle of champagne as his rare feat is not duplicated. Wait, or maybe he sheds a tear. Whatever. I just like mentioning Billy Joe Tolliver.

The Story Jana Jones announces she won't seek re-election after two terms as District Attorney. Although her press release did have an interesting reference to "public office" in her future.

The Story Weatherford Mayor Joe Tison announces that he will run against State Rep. Phil King.

The Spin "We're not really concerned," said a fictitious spokesperson for King. "But we checked with Speaker Tom Craddick and, as he cradled Phil against his bosom, told him 'not to worry. Daddy's here.' So we'll be OK."
